There is no Serin: iamfacingforclosure.com is done

As of May 31, 2007, Casey Serin's now infamous site is offline. A message posted on it says that he will issue pro-rated refunds to his sponsors. If I were one of them, I wouldn't hold my breath and would get in line with all the other people Serin owes money to.
Caseypedia suggests that the reason for the shutdown was due to Serin violating an
agreement he had with his wife, Galina. In one of his posts, Serin even admitted to violating the agreement several times. Serin's story with respect to the shutdown continues to change. Caseypedia has also noted that the farewell page has been changed at least 5 times with a different message each time.
It's kind of an abrupt end to the whole saga. In my time of reading the site, it seemed to be a past time of many people to go onto his blog and post comments attacking Serin, who, despite shooting back at some posters, wanted people to keep bashing him. I guess any readership is good readership.
I don't follow Serin as closely as many other people on the Internet, but I'm not sure if this closure is the end of his story. I wonder if the "Haterz" blogs will shut down or change their focus. In the end, maybe the whole Serin escapade can illustrate something about the Internet and of pop culture: Here today, gone tomorrow.
Good luck out there Casey, wherever you may be.
